The View from Nowhere
The View from Nowhere
“The View from Nowhere” was a one-night-only event held at the Black Box Theater at CUNY Hunter college in September 2015. The performance + talk + Q&A explored the topic of spaceflight and the so-called “Overview Effect” experienced by astronauts from the points of view of dance, philosophy and astronomy. The event consisted in a performance of “BLUEMARBLE” by Julian Barnett and Jocelyn Tobias, a talk by P. J. Gorre and a Q&A between Julian, Jocelyn, P. J. and myself.
